Found in Yunnan province of China and Thailand in deep shade of open hill, evergreen forests at elevations around 1100 to 1400 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 3 to 4, withered at blooming, broadly lanceolate, thin, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter on a pubescent, peduncle 4 to 8.4" [10 to 21 cm] long, provided with several sterile bracts, 4.4 to 8.8" [11 to 22 cm] long overall, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with small, lanceolate, pubescent, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
