Found in Sarawak, Sabah and Kalimantan Borneo on forest ridges in lower montane riverine forests at elevations of 1200 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with narrowly cylindrical, recurved pseudobulbs becoming longitudinally sulcate with age and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, acute, plicate, 3 nerved, midrib below fairly prominent, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a synanthous, on half way developed pseudobulbs, 3 to 4.8" [7 to 12 cm] long, wiry, erect, 3 to 8 flowered inflorescence.
