Found in northwestern Borneo in elfin forests at elevations of 900 to 2300 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with .6 to 1" [1.5 to 2.5 cm] between each very slender to rather swollen, more or less terete pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, herbaceous to coriaceous, obovate-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, plicate, 5 to 7 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and fall on a synanthous, erect, 3 to 7" [7.5 to 17.5 cm] long overall, rachis 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, curved to straight, somewhat zigzag, 7 to 11 flowered inflorescence with caducous at flowering, ovate floral bracts carrying slightly sweetly, fragrant flowers
