Common Name or Meaning The Clawed Chelonistele

Found in Brunei and Sarawak Borneo in moss forests at elevations of 1100 to 1400 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, longitudinally sulcate pseudobulbs carrying, a single, apical, erect, ovate to obovate-oblong, acuminate, coriaceous, plicate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring, summer and fall on a proteranthous, 4 to 8 flowered, erect, 5.2" [13 cm] long, racemose inflorescence.
