Found in Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, India and the Himalayan kingdoms in semi-deciduous and deciduous dry lowland forests and savana-like woodlands at elevations of sealevel to 700 meters to this miniature sized, hot to warm growing, leafless epiphyte with small leaves that wither before blooming in the spring and summer on an erect, 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, pubescent raceme with 10 to 20, fragrant flowers that needs bright light and frequent waterings.
