Common Name The Small Flowered Chiloschista
Flower Size .3" [7.5 mm]
Found in southcentral China, Malaysia and Vietnam in primary montane forests on coffee plants at elevations of 1000 to 1600 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte that blooms in the spring with several fragrant flowers on a pendant 6" [15 cm] long, racemose inflorescence.
CAUTION I am very unsure of this determination. The first photo was proposed by Seidenfaden in 1988 [he states "I had no materiel and the placing of this photo here is no more than a guess"]. The Other photos are my own. Most likely [Kew and Chinese refererences] this species is Taeniophyllum pusillum but the photos I have are definitely of a Chiloschista so... Which Chiloschista it may be? The Chinese references depict a Taeniophyllum. I need more references to sort this one out. Most likely this species does not exist as a Chiloschista and therefore the photos are of other species.
