Found as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial occuring in New South Wales and Victoria, Australia at elevations of 50 to 1100 meters on rocky outcrops in open forest with a elliptic tuber giving rise to an erect stem carrying 2 basal, elliptic, acute, wavy, basally clasping leaves and a tubular, acuminate sheath above the middle that will bloom in the late spring through fall on an erect, green, swollen apically, to 14" [to 35 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
