Found in Bolivia in humid canyons at elevations around 2700 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with thick, fasciculate roots giving rise to a nodose stem carrying, basally infundibuliform, smaller towards the apex, clear green, parallel venation, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, racemose, 4 to 7 flowered inflorescence with reticulate bracts and carrying clear yellow flowers with green reticulation .
