Common Name The Very Closed Chloraea [refers to the cupped flower]

Found in northwestern Argentina as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a stem completely enveloped by leaf bearing sheaths carrying 7 to 8, oblong, relatively short, grading smaller above becoming bracts, obtuse to slightly acute leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, few to many flowered inflorescence.
