Found in Patagonia Argentina in forest margins where this plant was photographed in situ as a large sized, cold growing terrestrial with basal, lanceolate, intense green leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, erect, 3.2 to 8" [8 to 20 cm] long, 6 to 15 flowered inflorescence.
