Found only in Panama in very moist cloud forests at elevations of 750 to 850 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with a 2 to 4, red spotted, oblanceolate, narrowing basally, acuminate, leaves that blooms in the fall on a lateral, 2.4 to 3" [6 to 7.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3, narrow, sheathing bracts and a conduplicate, narrowly deltoid floral bract.
