Common Name O'Briens' Bulbophyllum [English Botanist 1900's]
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found in Borneo, Malaysia, Sumatra and the Philippines as a miniature sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte requiring an open mix, light shade, high humidity and regular waterings and fertilizer. This species has egg-shaped, strongly ridged pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical leaf that is shortly petiolate and blooms in the winter on a basal, to 8" [20 cm] long, several [5 to 10] flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers held in an apical umbel.
