Common Name The Pendant Cirrhaea
Flower Size 1 1/2" [3.75 cm]
Found in Brazil as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte that has clustered, narrowly grooved, egg shaped psuedobulbs carrying a single apical, plicate, petiolate, lanceolate leaf that blooms in the spring and summer a basal, 18" [45 cm] long, pendulous, racemose, dense, many [to 20] flowered inflorescence carrying waxy, long-lasting, color variable, fragrant flowers that open simultaneously although not fully.
They do best in a basket to accomodate the pendant inflorescence. A short rest is necessary after blooming.
