Common Name Gusdorf's Bulbophyllum

Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra and the Philippines as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with 1/4 to 1/2" between each ovoid, unequally four or five angled pseudobulbs carrying a single, oblong, almost acuminate, fleshy, shiney, abruptly narrowing below into the elongate petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, purple spotted, 3 7/8" [9 cm] long, several [8] flowered inflorescence. This species does best mounted on tree fern and needs to be kept moist as well as given deep shade.
