Found in Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations of 1500 to 1600 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome, erect stems enveloped completely by leaf bearing sheaths and carrying narrowly elliptic, acute leaves that blooms on an erect, racemose, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
