Common Name or Meaning The Green Flowered Claderia

Flower Size 2" [5 cm]

Found in Thailand, penninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Sumatra and Sulawesi in primary hill forests on sandstone at elevations of sea level to 800 meters as a small to just medium sized, hot to warm growing, light loving terrestrial in poor soils within open forests where sunlight reaches the forest floor or lithophyte, with a long, creeping rhizome with 1" [2.5 cm] between each internode giving rise to stems carrying 5, lanceolate, acuminate, plicate, basally clasping leaves that blooms spring and early summer on a terminal, terete, erect, branching, to 11" [27.5 cm] long, successively 1 to 2, many flowered inflorescence arising from the axils of the bracts.
