Found in southeastern and southern Brazil at elevations of 800 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying some small scale-like bracts that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, sessile, 4 to 6, successively single flowered inflorescence arising from each of the floral bracts.
