Found in Thailand and northwestern Malaysia in lowland forests on trees at elevations around 250 meters as a large sized, hot, pendent growing epiphyte with an elongate, frequently branching, pendent stem carrying well spaced, secund, terete, acute leaves that blooms in the later spring, summer and early fall on an subhorizontal to descending , 10 to 24" [25 to 60 cm] long, racemose, to 12 flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts and simultaneously opening flowers.
