Found in Sumatra, Borneo and northeastern Sumatra in lowland forests at elevations of 50 to 300 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 8, fleshy, rigid, linear, acute, shiny green, purple striped above leaves that blooms on a racemose to rarely branched, many flowered, 6.6" [16.5 cm] long inflorescence with very small, concave, acute, 3 cornered floral bracts carrying fleshy flowers
