Found on northern Sulawesi in hill foress at elevations around 1000 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short, thread-like, smooth rhizome giving rise to close set, narrowly cylindric pseudobulbs carrying a single, erect-spreading, elliptic-lanceolate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a synanthous, peduncle enveloped by the petiole and scales of young shoot, terete, smooth, slender, rachis to 10" [25 cm] long, successively single, laxly 6 to 12 flowered inflorescence.
