Common Name Clemens' Coelogyne [English Couple, Orchid Collectors Borneo 1900's, original collector of species]
Flower Size 1.4" [3.5 cm]
Found in Sabah, Borneo in hill, lower and upper montane mossy forests at elevations of 800 to 2400 meters as a medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with slender, pyriform to cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear-oblong to oblong, abruptly acuminate, erect, rigid, strongly plicate, 7 nerved, coriaceous, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, deeply grooved, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a 7" [17.5 cm] long, suberect, fractiflex rachis, loosely 5 to 7 flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and has persistent floral bracts and simultaneously opening, fragrant flowers.
