Common Name or Meaning The Contracted Petal Coelogyne

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in western Sumatra in lower mintane forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with 1 to 1.6" [2.5 to 4 cm] between each flask shaped, at an acute angle to the rhizome pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, thin, narrowly lanceolate, acute, abruptly narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, arising with the leaves, rachis to 13.2" [33 cm] long, 18 to 23.8" [45 to 59 cm] long overall, successively single, few flowered inflorescence.
