Found in the Philippines on Mindanao Island in very wet forests onm moss covered tree trunks at elevations 1100 to 1300 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with cylindrical to fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped by sheaths soon evanescent carrying 2, apical, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, coriaceous, 7 to 9 nerved, narrowing below into the channeled, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring through earlier summer on an erect, synanthous, , slender, peduncle 3.2 to 4" [8 to 10 cm] long, without bracts, rachis arching, zig-zag, to 2.8" [7 cm] long, successively few to 8 flowered inflorescence with deciduous floral bracts and carrying whitish to greenish flowers.
