Common Name or Meaning The Beautiful Coelogyne

Found in eastern Sumatra at elevations around 1300 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome with close set, ovoid, obtusely quadrangular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic, acuminate but obtuse, narrowing gradually below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, arising with the leaves, eventually to 1.6" [4 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, much longer than the ovary floral bracts.
