Found in Sumatra on a stout woody rhizome with at intervals, erect, ovoid, smooth, 4 angled pseudobulbs enveloped basally by sheaths in youth and carrying 2, erect, lanceolate, acute, plicate, 7 to 9 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, short, synanthous, arising with partially to entirely developed leaves, successively few flowered inflorescence
