Found in all of Borneo in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 600 to 1600 meters as a just medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with close set, erect, elongated, fleshy, green, ellipsoid, narrowing towards the apex and the base pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, acuminate, plicate, 6 to 7 nerved, finely coriaceous, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on a erect, slender 3.2 to 4" [8 to 10 cm] long, fractiflex rachis, to 12 flowered inflorescence arising on a newly emerging growth with large flowers that open in succession.
