Found in the Philippines on Luzon at elevations around 1700 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a stout, sheathed rhizome giving rise to close set, ovoid-oblong, somewhat flattened pseudobulbs enveloped by longlasting basal sheaths and carrying 2, lanceolate-oblong, acute to acuminate, somewhat undulate, 3 to 5 prominently nerved, coriaceous, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a synanthous, peduncle enveloped by sheaths and developing leaves, erect, slender, 2.2 to 4.93" [5.5 to 12.3 cm] long, rachis short, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, simultaneously 5 to 7 flowered inflorescence with deciduous floral bracts.
