Common Name The Long-Bulbed Coelogyne

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Sarawak Borneo in hill and lower montane forests at elevations around 400 to 1900 meters as a large sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte and sometimes lithophyte on river boulders with 1.2 to 3" [3 to 7.5 cm] between each, very slender, cylindric pseudobulb carrying 2, apical, narrowly elliptic, acute, plicate, 3 to 7 nerved, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall through winter on a synanthous, rarely proteranthus, limply pendulous, 4 to 12" [10 to 30 cm] long, 16 to 25 flowered inflorescence with persistent floral bracts and simultaneoulsy opening flowers.
