Found in Borneo in hill and riverine forests at elevations around 700 to 1200 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a slender rhizome giving rise to close set, narrowly cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, somewhat plicate, undulate margin, narrowly elliptic, acute to acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a hysteranthous, peduncle slender, winged, naked, pendulous, 2 to 6.4" [5 to 16 cm] long, rachis thicker, fleshy, prominent abscission scars, successively many flowered inflorescence with deciduous floral bracts and slightly fragrant flowers.
