Found in the Philippines on Mindanao at elevations around 1200 to 1300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with close set, narrowly pyriform, thicker below, attenuate above pseudobulbs carrying 2, elliptic-lanceolate, gently acute, 5 nerved prominent beneath, narrowing below into the compresessed petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an initially synanthous becoming heteranthous, peduncle erect, stiff, 8 to 12" [20 to 30 cm] long, rachis arching, zig-zag, 12" [30 cm] long, successively few, to 63 flowered inflorescence with deciduous floral bracts.
