Found in southeastern Yunnan province of China and north Vietnam on trees over limestone on rocky slopes at elevations around 1100 to 1450 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with .8" [2 cm] between each, elongate-ovate pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, elliptic to obovate-elliptic, coriaceous, obtuse to acuminate, abruptly contracted into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a synanthous or hysteranthous, basally sheathed, 8" [20 cm] long, lax, few flowered inflorescence with persistent, narrowly oblong floral bracts and simultaneously opening flowers
