Found in Sarwak Borneo on lower tree trunks in flooded heath forests at elevations of 50 to 300 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with .24 to .52" [.6 to 1.3 cm] between each, ovate-oblong, flattened pseudobulb carrying 2, apical, lanceolate, 3 to 5 nerved, plicate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a proteranthous or synanthous, 4 to 10" [10 to 25 cm] long, 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence with persistent floral bracts and simultaneously opening flowers
