Found in Sarawak Borneo in lowland tropical heath forests on slender trees and saplings at elevations of sealevel to 150 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with close set, oblong-cylindric pseudobulbs enveloped below by multiple large sheaths and carrying 2, narrowly elliptic to oblong-elliptic, plicate, acute to acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the channelled petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a heteranthous, to 4.4" [11 cm] long, slender, arcuate, successively 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with the peduncle enveloped completely by loosely imbricating bracts and with persistent floral bracts with the apical flowers opening first
