Common Name Odoardo's Coelogyne [Italian Collector of species 1900's]
Flower Size to 2.8" [7 cm]
Found in Sarawak and Sabah Borneo on branches of canopy trees in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 200 to 900 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short to creeping rhizome with .6 to 1.2" [1.5 to 3 cm] between each ovoid, shallowly grooved pseduobulb carrying 2, apical, elliptic, coriaceous, plicate, 3 main nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a synanthous, curved to pendulous, to 14" [35 cm] long, 3 to 13 flowered inflorescence carrying simultaneously opening, strongly scented flowers with persistent floral bracts.
