Common Name Pantling's Coelogyne [English Botanist and Plant Collector Late 1800's]

Found in southern Sikkim at elevations of 2000 to 2400 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with elliptic-oblong pseudobulbs carrying 2, elliptic-oblong, acute, dark green, 5 nerved leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, arising on a matureing pseudobulb, peduncle .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long, 2.4 to 2.8" [6 to 7 cm] long overall, simultaneously 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence carrying strongly fragrant flowers with elliptic-oblong floral bracts.
