Found in Darjeeling India at elevations around 1300 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with ovoid-oblong, brilliant green, longitudinally ridged pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, elliptic-oblong, acute, coriaceous, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on a basal, from a mature pseudobulb, 6.8 to 8" [17 to 20 cm] long overall, peduncle short, pendent, rachis zigzag, simultaneously 8 to 9 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
