Common Name The Pholidota-Like Coelogyne [refers to the flowers affinities to the species in the genus Pholidota]

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Borneo in hill forests on trunks and branches as well as sandstone outcrops often in full sun, at elevations of 800 to 1500 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with ovoid, shallowly grooved pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, rather stiff, elliptic, acute to rounded, plicate, 5 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a synanthous, erect to curved then pendulous, to 28" [75 cm] long, 24 to 62 flowered inflorescence arising with a new growth with persistent floral bracts, a pubescent ovary and carrying simultaneously opening flowers
