Common Name The Flat Scape Coelogyne
Flower Size [2" [5 cm]
Found in Sabah in northern Borneo in lower and upper montane forests at elevations of 800 to 2200 meters as a medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphtye, terrestrial or lithophyte with 1.2" [3 cm] between each, elongate-ovoid, slightly compressed, ribbed pseudobulb enveloped initially by a few fleshy, tubular sheaths and carrying 2, apical, linear-lanceolate, acute, rigid, leathery, plicate, 5 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on an elongate, stout, strongly flattened, and narrowly winged, narrowly ellitpic in cross-section, 16" [40 cm] long, fractiflex rachis, many flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying successively opening, wide spreading flowers
