Found in the Philippines at mid to high elevations as a medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with narrowly cylindrical pseudobulbs enveloped by obtuse, membraneous sheaths and carrying 2, apical, plicate, elliptic-oblong, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect to arcuate, 9.2 to 12.4" [23 to 31 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence arising on a newly emerging growth with successive flowering, odorless flowers
