Found in Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with elongate ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, oblong, acute leaf that blooms in the spring in cultivation on a successively single, peduncle wiry, rachis elongating, thickening towards the apex, successively few, to 8" [20 cm] long, 42 to 78 flowered inflorescence
