Found on Mindanao island within the Philippines at elevations of 800 to 1000 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with tapered pseudobulbs with persistent sheaths and carrying 2, elliptic to lanceolate, leathery, narrowing below intothe grooved petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, arising with the leaves, flattened, to 10" [25 cm] long, rachis zig-zag, successively single, several flowered inflorescence
