Common Name or Meaning The Finely Scaled Coelogyne [refers to the inflorescence]

Found in Sarawak, Borneo in hill forests at elevations around 800 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with .6" [1.5 cm] between each, ovoid pseudobulb envelopd basally by dark, coriaceous, minutely pubescent sheaths and carrying 2, spreading, lanceolate, obtuse, mucronate, slightly undulate, plicate, 7 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, grooved, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a synanthous to hysteranthous, erect, slender, 4" [10 cm] long, fractiflex and dark colored rachis, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence arising on a newly emerging growth and has wide spread, simultaneously opening flowers
