Found in Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam in shady areas of dry evergreen forests at elevations of 600 to 850 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with 1.2" [3 cm] between each, ovoid, glossy pseudobulb and carrying 2, apical, erect, fleshy, plicate, prominent mid-nerve, 5 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a hysteranthous, erect, slender, bare at the base, 2.4 to 4.8" [6 to 12 cm] long, 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence with a few imbricate bracts at the junction of peduncle and rachis, deciduous floral bracts and carrying simultaneously opening flowers
