Found in Sumatra? as a just medium sized epiphyte? with close set, cylindric to ovoid, obtusely 4 angled pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, lanceolate, acuminate, plicate, 5 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the elongate petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on an erect, 4" [10 cm] long, fractiflex rachis, 4 to 5 flowered inflorescence arising on a newly emerging pseudobulb with ovate-oblong, deciduous floral bracts and has almost simultaneously opening, fragrant flowers
