Found in Sumatra in montane forests at levations around 2200 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphyte with closer set, ovoid, unequally three sided, rounded edge pseudobulbs carrying 2, lanceolate, acute basally and apically, narrowing below into the petiolate base elaves that blooms in the spring on a slowly arising, on a mature pseudobulb, peduncle thin, to 3.3" [8.25 cm] long, rachis snake-like, laterally flattened, [12 to 21 cm] long, successively single, 12 to 20 flowered inflorescence
