Common Name The Beautiful Coelogyne
Flower Size 1.4" [3.4 cm]
Found in Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei Borneo in hill and lower montane, ridge forests on sandstone and shale outcrops at elevations of 800 to 2350 meters as a medium sized, warm to cold growing lithophyte or epiphyte with 1" to 2.2" [2.5 to 5.5 cm] between each straight or curved, slender, ovoid, shallowly grooved pseudobulb and carrying 2, apical, rather stiff, elliptic to ovate to linear, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall through spring on an erect to arching, to 20" [to 50 cm] long, 16 to 35 flowered inflorescence arising with a new growth.
