Common Name Zurowetz's Coelogyne [Original Collector of Species 1900's]
Flower Size 3" [7.5 cm]
Found in Kalimantan and Sabah Borneo in heath forests and in freshwater swamp forests at elevations of 400 to 700 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] between each ovate, strongly flattened, somewhat wrinkled pseudobulb carrying 2, apical, oblanceolate to narrowly oblong, tapering to an acute apex, plicate, 5 nerved, grooved above, prominent beneath, sulcate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall through winter on a synanthous, arched then horizontal, few flowered inflorescence with broadly elliptic, acute floral bracts and carrying simultaneously opening, spicy-floral scented flowers
