Flower Size .6 to .68"[1.5 to 1.7 cm]

Found in Java and Sumatra in rainforests at elevations of 600 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a creeping, cylindrical, fleshy rhizome with .6 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] between each somewhat quadrangular, narrowing apically pseduobulbs carrying a single, oval, shortly acuminate, green with some darker blotches, gradually narrowing below into the terete, violet flushed petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later summer and early fall on a cylindrical pseudobulb with no leaf and an extending way beyond the leaf, to 40" [to 100 cm] long, terete, violet, thick and fleshy towards the base, rachis, terete and green, many flowered inflorescence with distorted flowers as the lip and column are twisted in opposite directions.
