Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil at elevations around 600 meters as a miniature sized, cool to warm growing lithophyte with clumping, ovoid psuedobulbs that have 2 to 3 apical, lanceolate, curved 8" [20 cm] leaves. This species, within my framework, would be better served within Oncidium but as of now it has not been described as such.
