Common Name Ekman's Corallorhiza [German Collector of the type 1900's]

Flower Size

Found in Haiti and Dominican Republic as a small sized, warm to cool growing, leafless, saprophytic terrestrial with a branched, digitate rhizome giving rise to a basally, more or less thickened-bulbous, glabrous stem enveloped by 2 to 3 acute, sheaths subtended by a few, achlorphyllous, broadly ovate, dentate, membraneous leaaflets that blooms on an erect, terminal, laxly to 12 flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceoalte, acute less than half as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying resupinate flowers.
